Apple announces surprise event on December 2 in New York City
New Delhi : Apple Inc. has announced that its new event will take place on December 2 in the New York City; the company is also sending invites for the same.
The purported invite, tweeted out by Lifewire Tech's Lance Ulanoff Monday and also reported on by 9to5Mac, features a gold-colored App Store logo. Apple's press event will be held at 4 p.m. ET, according to CNBC.
As per invite, the upcoming Apple event will largely focus on the applications and games on 2019. It is the first time when Apple has organized an event exclusively for the applications.

"Loved by millions. Created by the best," the invite posted on Twitter says. "Join us for an Apple special event honoring our favorite apps and games of 2019."
Every year, the company announces the award for best looking application on the iOS ad macOS. But, the results are announced online without any mega event.
It looks like Apple is creating a new tradition with the event to award the all-round best apps and games for its platforms from developers that came out that year. Of course, it only makes sense to do that in the last month of the year.
Ever since its inception, the company had been stressing on the importance of the developers and now it looks like they are all set to give it back to the community for their great work.
