Delhi : On October 17, the iPad Pencil with USB Type-C connector was unveiled by the massive American tech company Apple. The device, known as the Apple Pencil (USB-C), will retail for Rs 7,900 when it launches in India in November. All iPad models with a USB Type-C connector, including the iPad 10th generation, iPad mini sixth generation, iPad Air fourth generation or later, iPad Pro (12.9-inch) third generation or later, and all 11-inch iPad Pro models, are compatible with the Pencil (USB-C), according to Apple.

The Apple Pencil (USB-C) includes a magnetized side that allows it to adhere to iPads for storage, unlike the original Pencil. In contrast to the Pencil of the second generation, it is not compatible with wireless pairing and charging. In order to charge and pair the Apple Pencil (USB-C), a USB-C cable is required. To save battery life, the Pencil goes into sleep mode when it is magnetically linked to the iPad.

Apple's precise touch, low latency input, and tilt sensitivity are supported by the Apple Pencil (USB-C). Like the second-generation Apple Pencil, it also supports the hover function on the iPad Pro. However, the double-tap to switch between tools functionality, wireless pairing and charging, and pressure sensitivity are not supported by the Pencil (USB-C). The premium Apple Pencil (second-generation) has these characteristics.

Apple Pencil price and availability in India

Apple Pencil with USB-C connection costs Rs 7,900 for educational use and Rs 6,900 for personal use. Beginning in early November, both Apple retail shops and the Apple India online store will sell the stylus in India.
