Delhi : Just one month remains until WWDC23, at which Apple will present its vision for the future and perhaps make product announcements. However, it's more crucial that the business will reveal its upcoming software plans, which should include the release of iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, and more. We must for the time being remain anchored in the here and now and celebrate iOS16's fresh releases and beta iterations. Having said that, Apple has made iOS 16.6 beta 1 available to members of the Apple Developer Programme. Let's examine the new features of this edition and then teach you how to download and install it.

Unfortunately, no notes have been provided as of yet, so we are unsure of exactly what has changed in this version. If anything changes, we'll update this section, but you can also view any updates on Apple's release notes page. Since Apple is probably in the process of shutting down iOS16 and concentrating more on the upcoming release of iOS, there shouldn't be many significant updates.

Recent public release of iOS 16.5 by Apple was notable for the addition of new 2023 Pride wallpapers. In addition, the update combined Apple News' Following and Search tabs into one area and included a new Sports tab, making it simpler to follow all of your favourite sports teams. In the process, Apple also fixed certain bugs, resolving problems with Screen Time settings, Spotlight, and material not loading while using Podcasts with CarPlay.

Now, you need to be a member of Apple's Developer Programme in order to access this latest beta. Prior to iOS 16.4 beta 1, you could acquire access via a shared account, however this is no longer feasible. Having said that, if you are enrolled, the procedure is straightforward, and you must follow the instructions below.

  1. Go to Settings from your home screen.
  2. Go to Settings and select General.
  3. Navigate to the Software Updates section.
  4. Wait a short while for the update to show up.
  5. Once it has loaded, select Download and Install.
  6. To use the service, you must accept the terms of service.
  7. It will install after the download is complete.
  8. Verify that iOS 16.6 beta 1 is installed by going to Settings, General, then About.

As was previously noted, this is for developers, so chances are you won't be able to access this build if you haven't paid the $99 annual membership fee. If you're patient, you'll soon be able to install the public beta because Apple does release betas to the public at a later time.
