Lava Yuva 2 launched to take on Redmi: Price, specs, features

Delhi : Lava, a locally produced smartphone company, has released the Yuva 2 smartphone with a glass back finish in an effort to compete with Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi. The Redmi 12 Series with a glass exterior and a starting price of Rs 8,999 was introduced by Xiaomi just one day prior to the announcement. Lava has increased its presence in the low-cost market with the release of Yuva 2. A high screen-to-body ratio is provided by the Lava Yuva 2's 'SINK' Display concept. Glass Blue, Glass Lavender, and Glass Green are the three color possibilities for Lava Yuva 2.

Lava Yuva 2: Specs and price 

Lava Yuva 2 is available for Rs 6,999. A Unisoc T606 OctaCore Processor with 3GB RAM and a 64GB UFS 2.2 compliant ROM, which can be expanded by an extra 3GB of virtual RAM, powers the smartphone. The smartphone's display has smaller bezels and a 90Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it has a 5 MP front camera with screen flash and a 13 MP Dual AI rear camera. Additionally, it has a side fingerprint scanner, anonymous auto-call recording, and two noise-cancelling microphones. 

A Type-C 10W charger and 5,000 mAh battery are included with the Lava Yuva 2. The good news is that Yuva 2 delivers a clean and bloatware-free Android experience and currently runs on Android 12. For a two-year period, the business committed to providing one Android upgrade and four security updates. Additionally, Lava promises all customers a "free service at home" during the phone's warranty duration.  

In contrast, the Redmi 12 has an AdaptiveSync display with a 2460x1080 resolution, a maximum brightness of 550 nits, and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The smartphone has a 12x17mm loudspeaker and a screen-to-body ratio of 91%. The smartphone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and has an IP53 rating. It has an IR blaster and a 3.5mm headphone jack. A 5000 mAh battery and a 22.5W in-box charger power the smartphone.
