How to check your live train running status on WhatsApp; Check steps here

IRCTC have partnered with the online travel company MakeMyTrip (Mekmay Trip) for this purpose. Here is how you can find out about the current status of any train, the time of arrival to the station, by using WhatsApp on a number.

New Delhi : If you arrive at the railway station and come to know that the train you need to board will be late by two to three hours, how would you react then? Obviously, you will be angry and have to wait in the station itself. But now, don’t worry; you can use WhatsApp to find out where your train reached before leaving for the train station. 

You do not need to call any number or look for any train enquiry website in the mobile. Now you can find out the status of your train on WhatsApp. Indian Railways is now providing information on the running status of trains on WhatsApp. 

The current status of any train on WhatsApp can be checked by sending message to number 7349389104. It is advisable to save this number in your mobile phone. So that, when you want to know the status of a train, then you can use WhatsApp easily.

Open chat option for this number and send your train number to it. Your message will be delivered as soon as you will know about the position of your train within 10 seconds. That is, the message will include your current train status in WhatsApp. The message will tell you where the train is now and how long it will reach your station.

However, keep in mind that your message will have to reach the server only. When there are two blue ticks by the side of the message, then it is confirmed that your message has been delivered. Similarly, you can find your train booking details by sending your PNR number to this number. In this way you can know whether your seat has been confirmed or not.
