Features of the OnePlus Open

At its thinnest point, the book-shaped foldable smartphone weighs 239g and has a measurement of 5.9mm. A 7.82-inch 2K AMOLED screen with a variable refresh rate that can vary from 1Hz to 120Hz (LTPO 3.0) serves as the primary foldable display. A 6.31-inch 2K AMOLED display with a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz serves as the cover display. Both screens support 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and feature a 10-bit color depth.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 system-on-a-chip powers the OnePlus Open. It launches the OxygenOS 13.2 interface, which is based on the Android 13 operating system and packed with features and tools designed especially for foldable form factors. Among these features is a taskbar on the main display that resembles a desktop and has a recent folder for easy access to stored pictures, photographs, and other content. In addition, the primary display can be divided into many windows using the Open Canvas functionality. It has a 4,805 mAh battery that can be charged quickly with a 67W rapid wired charger.

The OnePlus Open has a five-camera setup, with three cameras located on the back, one on the main display, and one on the cover display. A 48-megapixel primary camera sensor (Sony Lytia-808) with optical image stabilization, a 64-megapixel 3x telephoto sensor with autofocus and OIS, and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with autofocus comprise the camera system on the back. There is a 20MP camera sensor on the main display and a 32MP camera sensor on the cover display. Hasselblad and I co-engineered the camera system. The OnePlus Open flaunts Dolby Vision 4K 30 frames per second movies.

Additional noteworthy features include an X-axis vibration motor, speakers with Dolby Atmos, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an alert slider, and a USB-C 3.1 interface for data transfer and charging.
