Delhi : Like Twitter, WhatsApp will soon allow you to pin your favourite messages. Users of the WhatsApp messaging app, which is owned by Meta, will reportedly soon be able to pin messages inside both chats and groups.

Users will be able to pin important messages to the top of the chat using this functionality, according to WABetaInfo. When a message is pinned and the recipient's app is out-of-date, the app will post a message in the discussion asking them to update to the most recent version that is currently offered in the store.

Additionally, pinned messages will enhance organisation in groups that get a lot of messages by enabling users to rapidly access crucial communications. The ability to pin messages within chats and groups is presently under development and is scheduled to be released in a forthcoming application update, the report stated.

A rumour on Thursday said that the messaging service was working on a new feature that would enable users to create calling shortcuts. Users who frequently call the same individual will find the capability helpful as they won't have to go through the process of opening the programme and hunting up the contact each time.
