Delhi : Instagram may decide to charge users for the premium verification mark, following Twitter's example. Notably, Instagram is currently one of the most popular social networking platforms where users can get a blue check to identify themselves as famous people. Reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi found a code that suggests Instagram would soon implement a paid verification feature. “IG_NME_PAID_BLUE_BADGE_IDV” and “FB_NME_PAID_BLUE_BADGE_IDV.” lines are defined.

The code line indicates that Facebook and Instagram will both receive a paid verification service. Whether the IT company is thinking about making it publicly formal is currently unknown.

The blue verification code from Twitter, which also comes with a badge of verification and other benefits, costs $8 per month in contrast. The cost for iOS or Android users is $11 per month. Currently, the facility is reachable in Saudi Arabia, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the United Kingdom, and countries in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, and Australia. Twitter has not yet made the comparable service available in India.

If Instagram starts charging for the verification badge, everyone on the site will be able to get the blue mark by just making a purchase, just like Twitter.

Instagram also recently revealed that it is testing a feature called Candid Stories that will allow users to film and share anything they are doing in a Story.
