PM Narendra Modi's Weibo account goes blank
New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Weibo (Twitter-like social media) account in China has gone blank after his profile picture and tweets were removed.
The removal of PM Modi's account information comes 10 days after three of his tweets about situation at LAC were deleted from the Indian embassy's official account on the popular social media app, WeChat.
It is officially not known when PM Narendra Modi's account information was deleted from Weibo, but on Wednesday it was found blank.
Interestingly, this comes two days after India banned 59 Chinese application claiming security threat and data breach concerns.
Modi’s Weibo account was set up in 2015 amid much fanfare and publicity before his first visit to China as prime minister. He had 244000 followers, many of them Chinese.
