Delhi : After almost two years of conjecture and rumours, Rockstar Games has finally revealed what may be the biggest gaming announcement of the year. The much awaited trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, or GTA 6, has announced the game's release date.

We will now get the chance to learn the specifics of the next GTA version for the first time since the leaks first appeared in 2022. The leaks showed us some new elements Rockstar was testing out and gave us a peek into the game's development. But a lot of time has gone by since then, and we expect that the game has changed in a lot of ways.

The disclosure was made public by Rockstar Games' official X account, which shared a picture of a pink and orange sky with palm trees that brought back memories of Vice City's style. The image's caption, which says, "Trailer 1. Tuesday, December 5. 9 AM ET," provides an estimate of when the GTA 6 trailer will likely be released. The teaser will be available to Indian viewers on Tuesday at 7:30 PM.

Fans everywhere have been ecstatic with the announcement. At 1.5 million likes and 421,000 retweets, it is one of Rockstar Games' most popular posts on X. The post has received 58,000 comments as well.

The developers announced in a November post on Rockstar Newswire that they had decided to release the trailer for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto game sometime in December. "We are very excited to let you know that we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto in early December," the statement read.

The post went on, "We have had the chance to create games we are truly passionate about because of the amazing support of our players worldwide. Without you, none of this would be possible, and we are so grateful to all of you for sharing this journey with us."
