New Delhi : Millions of people in India have given TikTok 1 star rating with a negative comment on Google Play Store, bringing down its rating to 1.3 from 4.5 in a matter of few days.

Social Networking application TikTok received around 4 million comments, mostly negative. There is a buzz that it will fall so bad that soon it will be removed from Play store; but this is unlikely even if the rating of the applications falls down to 1.

“An app with 1 star rating will still be available for download even after it gets poor ratings. However, there will be a huge impact on future downloads of the apps as most of it is dependent on reviews,” Vivek Shah who develops applications told Business Insider India.

The ratings for TikTok application started to fall soon after the video of one of its users Faizal Siddiqui was heavily criticized for allegedly promoting acid attack on women.

The video was roasted by Carry Minati on YouTube and soon a controversy erupted after his video was removed by YouTube. Soon after realizing the impact of incident on TikTok rating, the application removed Faizal's video from its platform and then later suspended his account, but no respite came from it.
