Delhi : A new feature that will allow users to write status updates straight from the web interface is being tested by WhatsApp. Status updates have been a feature of WhatsApp since 2020, enabling users to publish transient postings like to those on Snapchat and Telegram. The function is now in restricted beta testing and should soon be accessible to more users. But up until now, you could only use the function on your primary Android phone or iPhone.

Users may submit status updates using the online interface with the most recent beta version of WhatsApp online, a web version of the messaging app that allows users to send and receive messages from their computer browsers. WhatsApp started releasing voice messages called View Once earlier in December. These messages vanish once they are heard. The purpose of the function is to give users' voice messages an additional degree of privacy.

WhatsApp introduced a feature in October that lets users use several accounts at once. This means that users may move between accounts, such business and personal, without having to carry two phones or log out every time. The online graphical user interface of the most recent beta version now enables users to provide fresh status updates.

In the beginning, the online version of WhatsApp gave users access to their accounts from any web-enabled device, facilitating file sharing and granting access to chat support accounts, according to the study. With time, WhatsApp added support for tablets, native desktop programmes, and backup cellphones to its list of connected devices. A separate page for conversations, communities, channels, and status updates is included in the current stable version of WhatsApp Web, the source claims. Users can only see temporary postings made from their primary smartphone or updates from their connections.
