WhatsApp likely to increase file transfer size to 2GB

New Delhi : Meta-owned social media network WhatsApp is working on feature to allow its users to share heavy files over it.
According to a WABetaInfo report, the company is set to introduce a new "Media File Size" feature that will allow its users to send across file of up to 2 GB. Currently, the testing of the feature has been limited to Argentina only.
Currently, users can share a file of up to 100 MB over whatsapp.
Recently, the company had launched multi-device support on WhatsApp. Under the update, the primary device was not necessarily needed to be online for sending or receiving the messages.
