WhatsApp will stop working on these phones after December 31, check the full list

Delhi : The instant messaging service WhatsApp discontinues support for a number of phones each year, and this year is no exception. As 2022 draws to a close, WhatsApp is also discontinuing support for a few iPhone and Android generations. Despite the fact that this should be concerning, the majority of users do not need to be concerned because the messaging platform is only discontinuing support for devices with obsolete operating systems.

The instant messaging app will stop supporting nearly 49 handsets on December 31 from a variety of manufacturers, including Apple and Samsung. Simply put, this implies that beyond the specified date, owners of such phones will no longer be able to get updates from WhatsApp, including new features and security patches, and eventually the service will cease to function for them. Now, it should be mentioned that the majority of the phones on the list are older and probably only used by a very small number of individuals.
