Delhi : The revolutionary idea of Nano promised to give two-wheeler households a safer substitute. Two adults and two or more children jammed onto two wheels while driving has become usual. Nano wanted to change the world, but for some reason it wasn't able to generate the sales needed to be profitable.

The Tata Nano was discontinued in 2018 despite favourable evaluations at the time of its 2008 launch. Even if it didn't match the balance sheet's requirements, it was successful in increasing brand memory. Due to their odd shapes and endearing profiles, these cars are still there and are difficult to overlook. As a result, it's possible that an electric version of Nano will appear.

Tata Nano's electric vehicle concept as a rendering

Although the Nano electric car probably won't be ready for a while, automotive designer Pratyush Rout has developed an intriguing concept for the micro-EV. Despite the form being recognisable, the overall appearance is considerably more modern and fluid. The car's large glass panels give it a spacious, attractive feel. Even while an all-glass top could be more functional, it might not be economically possible.

Small headlights and large DRLs that mimic eyelids are features of nanoelectric cars. The car emanates warmth, which is accentuated by the cheerful look on the bumper section. Front doors have flat handles, while the side panels are physically and aesthetically formed. The C-pillar incorporates the knobs on the back doors.

Tata might be utilising Nano electric to get a competitive edge in the micro-EV industry. This industry has seen enormous growth in international markets like China. One can imagine something similar to occur in India, where entry-level hatchbacks now dominate the market.

Updated Nano EV range

Tata has built successful electric versions of these well-known vehicles with the Nexon, Tigor, and Tiago. The same strategy might be used with Nano EV. Tata intends to release an electrified Punch in 2023. With Nano electric, Tata might use a different approach, though. Nano electric might use a born electric platform as a starting point and then add more modern design aspects. The Nano EV from Tata, which is expected to be its most affordable electric vehicle, could have a range of 200 km.

The majority of its users will be urban commuters, and those who care about the environment may find it to be a popular choice. If sales figures come in as projected, Nano electric may help reduce some of the smoke from heavily polluted cities like Delhi, Gurugram, Noida.
