Xiaomi 13 ultra: Brightest display, fastest SoC, 50MP camera
Delhi : China's Xiaomi 13 Ultra was eventually unveiled on Tuesday, April 18. Perhaps the most anxiously awaited release from the Chinese company is the flagship smartphone. Prior to the smartphone's formal introduction, the firm teased users with important product information in response to several reports and leaks. Leica-tuned cameras with premium, bespoke Summicron lenses are found on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. Early this year, Leica and Xiaomi formed a long-term cooperation to improve the image quality on the latter's line of smartphones. The phone also includes a "Hibernation" mode that is allegedly designed to optimise energy usage when only 1% of the battery is left.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra characteristics and specs
A 6.73-inch AMOLED screen with a WQHD+ (1,440 x 3,200 pixels) resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, up to 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a maximum brightness of 2600 nits is featured on the recently released Xiaomi flagship phone. It boots the MIUI 14 custom skin, which is based on Android 13.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, Adreno 740 GPU, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage are all included in the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
The most prominent component of the device is the camera unit. It has a Leica-tuned quad rear camera configuration with three 50MP Sony IMX858 sensors and a 50MP 1-inch Sony IMX989 main sensor. The cameras are equipped with six distinct focal length lenses, including ones made by Leica.
The 32MP front-facing camera is located in a punch-hole cutout that is centred at the top of the display. The camera settings also include a Fast Shot mode that is reportedly designed for street photography. The user can take a picture in just 0.8 seconds with this option.
A sizable 5,000mAh battery powers the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and supports 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. The phone would be fully charged in 34 minutes according to the wired fast charging technology.
The device now features a hibernate mode thanks to Xiaomi. When the phone's battery has barely 1% remaining, it begins to function.
It allows for a speaking time of 12 minutes and a continuous use of the phone for 60 minutes. The phone has an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication, as well as an IP68 grade for dust and water protection, according to the company.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra cost and accessibility
