Xiaomi launches new fitness band for Rs 1000
New Delhi : Xiaomi on Saturday unveiled its super affordable fitness band at just CNY 95 - that's $14 or €13. Despite being a budget band, it has several advantages over the more premium Mi Band 4.
It starts with the 1.08" color OLED screen, a fraction larger than the 0.95" screen of the Mi band. The glass above the screen is completely flat. The band can display notifications from your phone and also has a screen with the weather forecast.
Charging also gets easy on it as it comes with a standarf USB-A plug, vanishing the need of custom charger. According to the company, it's battery will last for 14 days, a week less than its Mi sibling. A full charge takes 2 hours.
There is an optical heart rate sensor and activity tracking for 5 sport modes. Sleep tracking is part of the package too. You can also take it inside the water pool as it is rated up to 5 ATM water resistance.
The band is available in Black, Blue, Red and Brown and you can choose from 72 "watch faces" to customize the look of the band.
The Redmi Band will be available in China at 10:00 local time on April 9. If you pre-order now, the price is CNY 95, but if you get it after it launches it raises to CNY 99.
