Xiaomi Pad 6 and Smart Pen: Perfect combination for productivity

Delhi : Xiaomi recently unveiled the Xiaomi Pad 6 in India, set to hit the market on June 21. This new tablet impresses with its top-of-the-line specifications and budget-friendly price tag. Accompanying the tablet's release, Xiaomi has also introduced a range of accessories, including the 2nd generation Xiaomi Smart Pen. Interestingly, these accessories are not limited to the latest tablet alone. Xiaomi has made the new Smart Pen compatible with the older Xiaomi Pad 5 as well.

Xiaomi Pad 5 Support for Latest Accessories

Xiaomi has announced an over-the-air (OTA) update for the newly launched Xiaomi Smart Pen (2nd Gen). This update ensures full compatibility of the stylus not only with the Xiaomi Pad 6 but also with the Xiaomi Pad 5. Priced at Rs. 5,999 in India, the Smart Pen will be available for purchase through Mi.com, likely starting from June 21.

Xiaomi Pad 5: A Relevant Option

While the Xiaomi Pad 5, launched in India in 2021, offered good value at the time, the new Pad 6 surpasses it in various aspects. To provide some perspective, the Xiaomi Pad 6 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, a notable upgrade from the Snapdragon 860 processor found in the Xiaomi Pad 5.

Enhanced Display and Charging Capabilities

The new Xiaomi tablet features an 11-inch IPS LCD display with an improved resolution of 2880×1800, surpassing the Xiaomi Pad 5's resolution of 2560×1600. Additionally, the Xiaomi Pad 6 boasts a higher refresh rate of 144Hz, compared to its predecessor's 120Hz. In terms of charging speed, the Xiaomi Pad 6 outperforms the Xiaomi Pad 5 by supporting 67W fast charging, while the latter only supports 33W fast charging.
