Delhi : The new Redmi 12 5G from Xiaomi India has gone on sale in the segment of entry-level smartphones. In India, the product is making its debut on a worldwide scale. It is Xiaomi's most cheap smartphone, with a starting price of just Rs 10,999. In a physical ceremony, Xiaomi India President Muralikrishnan B introduced the smartphone in India. The Xiaomi TV X series, the Redmi SonicBass Wireless earphones, and the Redmi Watch 3 active were also presented at the event. The Redmi 12 is the Redmi 11's successor and it enters the market with some noticeable improvements.

The smartphone's 6.79-inch FHD+ LCD screen boasts a 1080 x 2460 pixel resolution and a refreshing rate of 90Hz. It has an internal storage capacity of up to 256GB and a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset CPU with 8GB of RAM. For the first time in this price range, Redmi is introducing this processor. It has an Adreno GPU and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC for graphics.
The handset boasts 8MP front cameras for selfies and 50 MP dual back cameras. The gadget comes in three distinct configurations: 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB storage.
