Watch viral video: Play school CCTV camera catches caretaker thrashing 10-month-old toddler

Mumbai : A play school CCTV camera captured shocking incident of caretaker thrashing a 10-month-old toddler in Navi Mumbai's Kharghar. She along with the day caretaker owner has been arrested, said cops. 

Taking note of the viral video, Maharashtra's Women and Child Development Minister Pankaja Munde said CCTV installation at all day care centres in a must from now. 

The barbaric incident came to light when cops along with parents of the toddler checked CCTV footage of Purva Play School and Creche. 

The caretaker lady has been remanded to police custody, while the owner has been released on bail over surety bond.

The 10-month-old girl's parents Ruchita and Rajat Sinha, who are complainants in the case, used to leave their child at the day care centre as they both are working.

They checked CCTV footage after noticing a wound on her daughter’s forehead.
