Peshawar : At least 30 people have been killed in a suicide bombing attack at a mosque in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar. The blast happened during the Friday prayers.

It is expected that the number of casualties may rise in the coming time as most people injured in the incident are under critical condition.

No terrorist group or local group has taken the responsibility of the attack.

According to reports, two unidentified men arrived on a motorcycle at the mosque. They were stopped by the policemen for checking at the entrance, but they open fired and ran inside the mosque.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan has strongly condemned the suicide attack.

Such incidents could be disastrous for Pakistan, especially at a time when foreign players have started to come to play international tournaments.

Recently, Australian cricket team had arrived in Pakistan to play ODIs, Tests and T20I series.
