Ankara : A 'terrorist attack' is being suspected as blast and firing incidents have been reported near the Turkish parliament in Ankara. Two police officers have been injured in the incident, government official said.

According to the received inputs, two unidentified men came in a commercial vehicle around 9:30 am (0630 GMT) in front of the entrance gate of the General Directorate of Security of our Ministry of the Interior, and carried out a bomb attack."



The ministry mentioned in its social media post that one of the attackers blew himself up while the second was neutralised.

The target district is a home to several other ministries and Turkish parliament that was supposed to reopen today with a speech of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Apart from two police officers getting injured in the incident, no other injury has been reported so far.
