China: New coronavirus spike in Changchun, lockdown announced
Beijing : A sudden rise in number of coronavirus cases in a Chinese city of Changchun has forced the authorities to impose fresh lockdown restriction on a population density of around 9 millions.
The residents of the city have been advised to stay inside their homes and participate in the mass testing to avoid the transmission of the virus.
It has also been reported that the public transports have also been stopped till further notice in the city.
Around 397 new cases of local transmission were reported in the region. Under China's 'zero tolerance' against coronavirus strategy the new restrictions have been applied.
