Donald Trump to meet PM Narendra Modi next week in the US
New Delhi : Former President of the United States, Donald Trump on Tuesday said that he will be meeting Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, during the latter's scheduled visit next week. Trump announced it during his election campaign in Michigan.
"PM Modi is 'fantastic' and he happens to be coming to the US next week," Donald Trump told the crowd.
PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the US from September 21 to 23; he will be taking part in the Quad Summit and address the 'Summit of the Future' at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. This would be the fourth Quad Leaders' Summit, to be held in Wilmington, Delaware, hosted by US President Joe Biden.
He will also be meeting the US-based industries and their leaders. During the meet, PM Modi will pitch India as one of the key destinations for businesses. He is also expected to interact with thought leaders and other stakeholders active in the India-US bilateral landscape.
Prior to this, Donald Trump and PM Narendra Modi had held a meeting in February 2020, when the former had visited India with his family.
