New Delhi : After facing unexpected defeat in race to the White House, Democrat Hillary Clinton in her post-election speech urged America to accept the results and give Donald a fair chance to lead America.

She also assured full co-operation to her rival and newly-elected President for a better future of America.

"Last night I congratulated Donald Trump and offered to work with him on behalf of our country. I hope that he will be a President for all of our country," she said adding, "We owe him an open mind and a chance to lead."

She also shared her disappointment over the election results not going in her favour.

"I know how disappointed you feel because I feel it too," she said with tears in her eyes.

She also thanked outgoing President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama for all the support and determined leadership in last 8 years.

"To Barack and Michelle Obama. Our country owes you an enormous debt of gratitude. We thank you for your graceful determined leadership that has meant so much," she said.

Donald Trump will be the oldest President of America ever elected to a first term. He handed over defeat to Clinton by winning 276 electoral votes from 27 states, six more than required number to win the President seat.
