Los Angeles : Are you facing a heartache in a relationship for the past few days or has your partner been behaving in a shifty fashion over the last few days?

2016 is ending and 2017 is bringing new hopes and dashing romance to several couples, but Google trends on Wednesday showed a massive surge in people searching advice on ending their relationship.

In fact according to Twitter user Max Benwell, it's specifically people asking when they can break up with their boyfriends.

Benwell also pointed out Tuesday morning that the search inquiry “Should I break up with my boyfriend?” was on the rise. At the time of this article’s writing, “Should I break up with my girlfriend?” has surpassed that search — but both inquiries are still steadily increasing.

It seems with 2016 passing by women also want to stay clear of the bad memories this year and hence have been searching ‘how to end their relationships’?

Especially post vacations, such a trend is worth pondering upon. But we must tell you that it is not a new trend infact it’s been an ongoing trend: A 2010 study that crunched Facebook data found that people break up most frequently during the month of March, followed by the period between Christmas and New Year’s. A 2007 survey conducted by Yahoo! determined that people are twice as likely to break up between Christmas and Valentine’s Day compared to other parts of the year.

So if you are someone's boyfriend, this is not the best time for you, start looking for hints!
