India's Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj at OIC meet in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi : India's Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj addressed the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meet on Friday, saying that it is time when we all must join hands to finish global terrorism.

She started her address by saying “I carry the greetings of 1.3 billion Indians, including more than 185 million Muslim brothers and sisters. Our Muslims brothers and sisters are a microcosm of the diversity of India itself.”

Sushma Swaraj then talked about terrorism and its religious connect. She said, "If we want to save humanity, we must tell the states who provide shelter and funding to terrorists, to dismantle the infrastructure of the terrorist camps and stop providing shelter and funding to the terror organisations based in that country."

"This is not a clash of civilisations or cultures, but a contest of ideas and ideals," she added.

Ms Swaraj had arrived in Abu Dhabi to attend the foreign ministers meet of the influential grouping of 57 countries on Thursday.
