OIC meeting: Pak foreign minister skips, says can't attend it with India
Abu Dhabi : Pakistan foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi skipped foreign ministers' meet of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) states. He explained that he is boycotting the event over the invitation extended to external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj. India is not a member of the OIC, but was invited as a guest of honour.
Sushma Swaraj in her address at the OIC meeting said that it is time for all to unite and finish the global terrorism.
She said, "If we want to save humanity, we must tell the states who provide shelter and funding to terrorists, to dismantle the infrastructure of the terrorist camps and stop providing shelter and funding to the terror organisations based in that country."
"This is not a clash of civilisations or cultures, but a contest of ideas and ideals," she added.
