Islamic State claims attack on London Tube train that injured 29

London : Terror outfit Islamic State has claimed responsibility for explosion in London Tube train that injured nothing less than 29 people at the Parsons Green tube station in West London.

The explosion, caused by the detonation of an improvised explosive device (IED), took place during morning rush hour on Friday at Parsons Green Station, Sky News quoted the NHS England as saying on Friday.

According to a latest report, the suspect has been identified with the help of help of surveillance footage. Hunt for the alleged man is on while residents of the nearby areas have now been allowed to return home.

British Prime Minister Theresa May termed this attack to be a "cowardly" one. May also said the British terror threat level would stay at "severe" rather than raising it to "critical", although this would be kept under review.

The Friday blast came after four deadly attacks in London this year -- Westminster Bridge, London Bridge and Finsbury Park, and one in Manchester at a concert of American pop singer Ariana Grande.
