New Delhi : Following the extension of the Gaza truce by two days, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) officially confirmed on Monday that more than 14 hostages, including 10 Israelis and four Thai nationals, were released from Hamas captivity. The release was reported by The Times of Israel.

In response, Hamas stated that, as part of the extended truce agreement between Israel and Hamas, they have released the same 14 hostages. The Red Cross facilitated the transfer of these individuals from the Gaza Strip to Egypt through the Rafah crossing.

Earlier, Hamas released two individuals holding dual Russian-Israeli citizenship, Yelena Trupanov and her mother, Irena Tati. This action was described as a gesture towards Russian President Vladimir Putin and was unrelated to the truce deal with Israel, as reported by The Times of Israel.

Upon their return to Israel, the mother and daughter were taken to Sheba Medical Centre.

Additionally, The Times of Israel identified the 10 Israeli hostages who were released as Raz Ben Ami, Yarden Roman, Liat Atzili, Moran Stela Yanai, Liam Or, Itay Regev, Ofir Engel, Amit Shani, Gali Tarshansky, and Raaya Rotem.

Moreover, the hostages will be brought to a meeting point where Israeli forces will verify their identities before escorting them into Israel via a side gate at the Kerem Shalom crossing.
