Soon, Facebook passwords will be needed to enter US
Los Angeles : In an interesting condition, America is now planning to ask for people’s Facebook passwords to get into the country.
Officials have claimed that the move will be targeted at individuals from the seven countries affected by Donald Trump’s immigration ban.
The move may be a step ahead as part of ‘extreme vetting’ procedures followed by the American government to provide a ‘Social media identifier’ while entering the country.
US Homeland Security chief John Kelly told media that the move will allow America to ‘see what they do on the internet’.
“We may want to get on their social media, with passwords. It’s very hard to truly vet these people in these countries, the seven countries. But if they come in, we want to say, what websites do they visit, and give us your passwords. So we can see what they do on the internet,” he informed.
