New Delhi : War-torn Ukraine is making all its efforts to safeguard it from the Russia's attack; President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed an application to become an 'immediate' member of the European Nations. He was accompanied by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and Ruslan Stefanchuk, the Chairman of Ukraine's unicameral Parliament.

The official account of the Ukraine's Parliament tweeted: "President @ZelenskyyUa has signed application for the membership of #Ukraine in the European Union. This is a historic moment!"



"President @ZelenskyyUA signed #EU membership application for #Ukraine. This is the choice of Ukraine and Ukrainian people. We more than deserve it," tweeted Prime Minister Shmyhal.



Despite pressure from the world and sanctions, Russia has been attacking Ukraine from all sides and conducting invasions. Over the course of last five days, heavy firings and airstrikes have been reported in Ukraine.

European countries and Canada have banned its air space for Russian flights.
