Los Angeles : A Russian gorgeous glamour model on Thursday was criticised for performing a death-defying photoshoot. She posed for a shoot on a narrow ledge near the top of one of the world's tallest skyscrapers.

She leaned out into thin air and was held only by a male assistant from a height of 306-metre (1,004-foot) tall Cayan Tower in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

She also dangled free from the building with just a help from the arm of her helper.

Following her post on social media, Victoria Odintsova, 23, has been facing criticism for her recklessness.

Later, she admitted that she was a bit nervous. "I still cannot believe that I did it. Every time I watch this video, my palms get sweaty."

Interestingly, Odintsova has been branded as the best thing to come out of Russia after Vodka by Maxim magazine.

She has more than three million followers on social media who, immediately after the video went viral, criticised her for performing the stunt without any safety equipment.

They also pointed out that she would not have had a chance of surviving if anything had gone wrong.

Some even called her a copycat for mimicking another beautiful young Russian, Angelina Nikolau, 23, who posted her dangerous selfies taken on top of skyscrapers and other high structures.

The video of the shoot was produced by Mavrin Studios. Watch it here:
