New Delhi : Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has claimed that NATO's decision to not announce no fly zone over his country gives green signal to Russia to continue bombing and put human lives in danger.

Russia has attacked Ukraine via road, sea and air; Ukraine had demanded NATO to announce no-fly zone over the nation. The demand has been rejected.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said, "We are not a part of this conflict."

He added: "NATO is a defensive alliance, our core task is to keep our 30 nations safe and we have a responsibility of to prevent this war from escalating beyond Ukraine."

He also clarified that "NATO is not seeking a war with Russia."

Reacting to the statements, Zelenskyy in a televised address said that this show how Europe's freedom is not everyone's number 1 priority. He also mentioned that this is a green signal to Russia to continue bombing in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, European Union has threatened to apply more sanctions on Russia if they continue to bomb on Ukraine.
