New Delhi : India is known for its neighbour first policy and had helped Sri Lanka during its crisis time. Now, when Pakistan is also facing an economic crisis, the bigger question raises that will India help the nation in dealing with the crisis or will it ignore Pakistan due to its unfavourable relations?

India’s foreign minister S Jaishankar cleared India's stand over the topic in an interview with the news agency UNI. He said that comparing Sri Lanka with Pakistan is not appropriate as India had different kind of relationship with Sri Lanka anxious different type of relation with Pakistan.

Pakistan’s economic situation is getting worse with every passing day with inflation surging and Pakistan currency rate abridged. To improve the economic situation, Pakistan is also considering to take a bailout package from IMF on a surged interest rate.

"No person reaches to a difficult situation without his contribution in the past and activities done by him. Today India does not share any kind of relationship with Pakistan under which we would like to help Pakistan financially. It is pakistan’s fight and they should find a way to get out of this crisis situation," said S Jaishankar in the interview.

"India had helped Sri Lanka in the past as we have a different kind of relationship with the nation but comparing it with Pakistan is not justified in any manner," he added.

For those who are not aware India had helped Sri Lanka with 4.5 billion American Dollars to come out of the difficult economic situation. India had also signed letter of support at IMF for Sri Lanka.
