World's most expensive and cheapest cities: What's your dream destination?
New Delhi : The world is dotted with mesmerizing hill-stations, breath-taking sea shores, historical places, man-made wonders and more; and all these define the beauty of a particular place. Besides, a country’s glamour depends upon its economic conditions which determine the fate of a traveller in the particular city. After thorough survey we have come up with updated list of most expensive and cheapest cities on the earth.
Hong Kong, Singapore and Paris has been ranked among the world's most expensive cities. For the past 30 years, Economist Intelligence Unit (EEU) has been studying the prices of 133 cities and this is the first time in its history that three cities have come together in top rankings.
In the 2018 survey, there were four European cities in the top 10 cities in terms of inflation, in which Paris was at the second spot.
To mention, the survey also listed the prices of common goods. For example, the approx cost of a woman's haircut is $ 119.04 in Paris, while in Zurich and Osaka city of Japan it is 73.97 and $ 53.46. The price may vary with time and location.
On the other hand, Bengaluru, Delhi and Caracas fall in the category of world’s cheapest cities.

The survey shows differences due to fluctuation in the currency values. It indicates that spending in countries like Argentina, Brazil, Turkey and Venezuela has decreased considerably. Also, the study aimed to help companies decide on business prospects and fixing salaries for their employees.
