Los angeles : Hillary Clinton has once again outwitted Donald Trump, albeit this time not in the war of words, but in the race to win the US Presidential Elections 2016. The Democrat candidate is now leading by 5 points as the presidential campaign heads into its final two weeks, according to PTI.

Among likely voters, Clinton gets around 49% while Trump falls behind at 44%, with just 3% backing Libertarian Gary Johnson and 2% behind Green Party nominee Jill Stein.

The three Presidential debates have finally shaped the momentum with both candidates getting some consolidated support from core supporters. If Clinton has been able to garner support from younger voters, women and non-whites, Trump has succeeded in boosting his support among the blue-collared whites who are without college degrees and professional education.

Clinton’s support mainly comes from voters under 45 years while Trump’s support group falls in the age group of 50-64 years.

Interestingly, the poll shows that if the third-party candidates fall out of fray then Clinton's margin widens by a point in two-way matchup between the Democrat and the Republican, to 51% to 45%.

The poll suggests that the gender gap remains large, with Clinton holding a wide 12-point lead among women, topping Trump 53% to 41%. Another notable shift is the drop in support for Johnson, who falls from 7% to 3% overall.
