'God's Warning': Rajinikanth cancels plan to enter electoral politics

New Delhi : After deciding to almost launch his own political party, superstar Rajinikanth made a U-turn and announced that he will not be entering electoral politics; instead will serve people like always. He claimed health and financial reasons behind his decision.

"Without entering electoral politics, I will serve the people. This decision of mine will disappoint my fans and people but please forgive me," Rajinikanth’s statement read.

"I inform with great regret I am unable to come to politics by floating a political party. Only I know the pain behind making this announcement," he added.

Superstar Rajinikanth also mentioned that his recent hospitalization and health issues are a warning from god.

"My hospitalisation was a warning given by God. My campaign will impact health amid the pandemic," he added, explaining the reason for his decision.

He, however, mentioned that he will continue to serve the people no matter if he is entering into electoral politics.

The announcement was made soon after he was discharged from a Hyderabad hospital after being treated for blood pressure fluctuations.
