New Delhi-Ghaziabad passenger train derails near Okhla

A coach of Indian Railways train off track

New Delhi : Train accidents are not coming to an end; in a recent, a coach of New Delhi-Ghaziabad passenger train went off track at Okhla Railway Station on Tuesday. No passenger has been reported hurt in the accident.

Northern Railway spokesperson Nitin Chowdhary told IANS: "The wheel of one coach - second from motor coach of the MEMU (Mainline Electric Multiple Unit), came off the rail at Okhla station at 9.45 a.m."

"No passenger was injured in the incident," he said.

The passengers on the train were shifted to the other train. An enquiry has also been ordered in the case.

"An inquiry has been ordered to look at the cause of the derailment," the official added.
