NIA fails ISIS attack in plan over India, arrests 13 sympathisers

Bengaluru : In a major breakthrough in keeping up the safety, NIA on Friday arrested 13 Islamic State sympathisers planning attacks on several parts of India.

Home Ministry said, “out of 14 suspects detained on Friday 13 have been arrested and are under police custody.”

Search operation was conducted at 12 places in six cities to nab down the suspects.

Circuits for detonating explosives were recovered during the searches.

Apart from that, mobile phones, laptops, unaccounted cash, jihadi literature and videos and certain material for preparation of bombs were also recovered from the locations.
