New Delhi : Fifteen states and Union Territories in India have reported no deaths due to coronavirus in last 24 hours, the Centre announced on Tuesday.

In the time frame of last one week, seven states and Union Territories have reported no fatalities due to COVID-19, showing how the virus is weakening its grip in India.

The tapering fatality rate in the disease comes as the vaccination programme in the country entered its fourth week. Those who received the first shot of the vaccine on January 16 are expected to receive the booster dose on February 13.

India had launched world’s biggest vaccination drive on January 16, prioritizing front line workers for the dose before the vaccines reach to the normal people.
