Registration for Covid-19 vaccination for people above 18 to begin on Saturday

New Delhi : All people above 18 years of age will be eligible for coronavirus vaccines from May 1 onwards. They will be allowed to register themselves for vaccination from Saturday onwards on CoWin application.

India on Thursday registered highest single-day spike in the world with more than 3 lakh cases in a duration of 24-hours.

More than 2100 lost their lives to COVID-19.

While the government has relaxed age for coronavirus vaccination, those above 45 will continue to get the vaccine.

Apart from Serum Institute of India's Covishield and Bharat Biotech's Covaxin, Russia's Sputnik will soon be used, the government says.
