Earthquake of Magnitude 5.9 Hits Iran, 3 killed, over 300 injured

New Delhi : An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 struck Iran near the border with Turkey on Saturday (January 29th, 2023). 3 people have been reportedly killed and more than 300 have been injured in the natural disaster.

The epicentre of the earthquake has been located at Khoy, a city in Iran's West Azerbaijan province.

According to a report by a news channel, it was snowing in some of the affected areas, with freezing temperatures. Power cut has also been reported in the area.
