Huge explosion in Kabul mosque; over 20 people feared dead, many injured

Kabul : A huge explosion has been reported in the capital city of Afghanistan - Kabul - on Wednesday. Over 20 people have been feared dead in the blast and several others have been injured.

According to reports, the explosion took place in a mosque in the 17th security district of Kabul. None of the terrorist outfits have claimed the responsibility of the blast till the report was being filed.

While there is no official announcement on figure of people who might have been killed in the incident, local media reports suggest that it is more than 20 people.

In the explosion, the Imam of the mosque was among those killed and the count could still rise. The intelligence teams are at the blast site and carrying out investigations.

Recently, Taliban had claimed that they have brought the security back in the nation. Despite the claims, regular attacks have been reported in Afghanistan.
