Delhi : On Tuesday, Greaves Electric Mobility Private Limited, the brand's owner, asserted that more than two lakh units of its Ampere electric scooters had been sold. The milestone, according to the corporation, was reached in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. It's interesting to note that, contrary to what the firm said in a press release, the final 50,000 Ampere electric scooters were sold between April 2023 and July 2024.

The company has credited the success of its sales to the wide variety of items it offers and the pan-Indian dealership network that it has established throughout Tier 1 to Tier 4 markets. The business has also stated that it will keep funding R&D in order to expand its market reach and further strengthen its product line.

Sanjay Behl, CEO and executive director of GEMPL, commented on this sales milestone by stating that Ampere has cemented its place as a leading electric scooter brand in India. This success is a result of our commitment to high-quality products, active customer engagement, and a reliable sales network. We continue to be dedicated to innovation and upholding our position as industry leaders as pioneers in the Indian EV sector. To mark this important turning point in our mission to "Make Har Gully Electric" in India, Greaves Electric Mobility will unveil a number of innovative retail and financing initiatives. We would like to express our appreciation to our esteemed clients and dealers for their steadfast support throughout our transformational path towards a sustainable future," he continued.

Primus, Magnus EX, and Zeal EX are the three electric scooter models that Ampere currently offers for sale. The Primus, the EV company's most recent model, was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023 in February and went on sale earlier this year. High-speed variants are offered for all three Ampere electric scooters.
