Delhi : Bajaj Auto produces the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X at its facility in Chakan. Since the Scrambler 400 X is a more competent motorbike than the Speed 400, its pricing is a little bit more. The ex-showroom price of Triumph's Scrambler 400X is ₹2.63 lakh. The next motorbike to be released on this new platform is anticipated to be a 400 cc cafe racer. That being said, this comes as a bit of a surprise given that Triumph has withdrawn the Thruxton brand.
Specification of Speed 400
The TR-series engine powers both the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X. It is a single-cylinder, 398.15 cc, liquid-cooled engine with ride-by-wire throttle and fuel injection. Its maximum torque production of 37.5 Nm occurs at 6,500 rpm, while its 39.5 horsepower is produced at 8,000 rpm. It has a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch attached to it. The Scrambler 400 X's engine has been significantly modified to produce greater engine braking, which ought to be beneficial when riding the trails.
Price of Speed 400 going to be last on December 31
When Triumph introduced the Speed 400 to the market in July, it was an immediate hit, selling for ₹2.33 lakh ex-showroom. To top it all off, the firm revealed that the ₹2.23 lakh ex-showroom promotional offer will expire on December 31, 2023. Ex-showroom pricing will be ₹2.33 lakh as of January 1, 2024.
