Delhi : Hero MotoCorp, a prominent motorcycle manufacturer, is gearing up to diversify its product lineup. On the upcoming 14th of this month, the company is expected to introduce the refreshed version of its popular bike, the Hero Xtreme 160R. This new iteration will adhere to the latest RDE (Real Driving Emissions) regulations and has been spotted multiple times during testing.

Anticipated Enhancements and Features

Although no official details have been released regarding the Hero Xtreme 160R 2023, several significant changes are expected. Based on spy pictures, it appears that the updated model may feature USD (Upside-Down) forks, replacing the conventional telescopic suspension. Additionally, an instrument cluster equipped with Bluetooth connectivity is visible in the images. Furthermore, Hero MotoCorp might introduce a fresh dual-tone color option for this upgraded model.

Hero Xtreme 160R Engine Details

The existing variant of the Hero Xtreme 160R houses a 163cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, generating a power output of 14.9 horsepower and a peak torque of 14Nm. However, analyzing the spotted test mule, it appears that the new version may come with an oil-cooled engine, suggesting potential power enhancements. Moreover, to compete effectively within its segment, the updated Hero Xtreme 160R may be equipped with an E-20 compliant engine.

Competition for the Hero Xtreme 160R

In terms of competition, the refreshed Hero Xtreme 160R will go head-to-head with motorcycles like the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar N160, and Pulsar NS160. With the introduction of the updated variant, a price increase of approximately Rs 6,000-10,000 is expected.
