New Delhi : Mahindra has gradually made its space in the passenger vehicle segment with its premium products launched in last couple of years. The waiting period for the cars is itself an example to prove the attention these cars are getting from the people. The company is also cautiously taking decisions on hiking the prices to keep people engaged.

In a recent update, it has been learned that Mahindra and Mahindra has hiked the prices of its two SUVs – Thar and XUV700. The company has hiked the prices by Rs 37,000. It must be noted that the company had reduced the XUV700 prices by Rs 6000 a couple of days back.

The prices of the XUV700 are now increased from around Rs 22,000 to Rs 35,000 for the petrol trim and for the diesel variants, prices are hiked by up to Rs 35,000. Mahindra Thar's prices have been hiked by Rs 6,000 across the petrol range, whereas for diesel variants, prices have been increased by up to Rs 28,000.

Mahindra Thar is famous among the people who prefers off-roading and want a 4X4 vehicle for easy and smooth drives. Meanwhile, XUV700 caters to the people who want comfort and luxury in their SUVs.

According to some reports, the waiting period for XUV700 is now at up to 2 years. Mahindra Thar comes at a waiting period of around 1 year now.
