Delhi : Sonata used to be the company's flagship car before the advent of the Genesis luxury brand in 2015. Sonata, which debuted in 2020, is currently in its eighth version. Hyundai updated it three years later, but this update is "more than just a facelift." With a radical new design that shares a front fascia with the India-spec Verna, the 2024 Hyundai Sonata and its N Line variant have made their premiere on a worldwide scale.

New Design Language, More Than a Facelift for the 2024 Hyundai Sonata

The interior of the 2024 Hyundai Sonata has undergone radical new changes, as well as exterior ones. There are now official images of the 2024 Sonata.

whereas a formal introduction will probably take place at the Seoul Mobility Show from March 30 to April 9, 2023. On April 9 at the New York International Car Show, the North American market will make its debut.

To begin with, this is a facelift of the departing 8th-generation model rather than a 9th-generation model. While the impending makeover is absolutely radical, the outgoing 8th generation Sonata kept true to the 6th and 7th generation models. With sporty alloy wheels, a quad exhaust tip, a rear diffuser, and other features, the N line model raises the bar.

The headlights of the Sonata were completely encased in chrome, which continued into the shut line of the bonnet, the beltline of the lower window, the top window line, and the A-pillar. It is consistently found on models from the 6th, 7th, and 8th generations before the facelift.

It has been replaced with a meaner front design with headlights set beneath its large LED light bars.

You are absolutely correct if this face reminds you of the recently released India-spec Verna if it does. The side appearance is strikingly similar to the outgoing Sonata before the facelift. It boasts wavy lines that are matched by brand-new alloy wheels.

We now have Hyundai's most modern "H" element tail light at the rear, which connects to a light bar like the Verna. Real brake lights appear to have been influenced by the Ioniq 5's pixelated design aesthetic. Inside, the 2024 Hyundai Sonata is more similar to a Genesis in terms of luxury and general fit and finish.

Details and Features

Two angled 12.3" horizontal displays, one for infotainment and the other for instrumentation, are now part of the updated dashboard design. A third glossy black plastic component next to the instrument cluster, which could be a camera to track driver weariness, is present. A projector or holographic personal assistant could also be used.

The gear selector is now located behind a steering wheel with three spokes. It follows the most contemporary design ideas from Hyundai, with four dots on the steering wheel in place of the Hyundai badge. There is also a stereo system with the Bose logo.

The 2024 Hyundai Sonata is likely to only be available with a 2.5L turbo petrol engine. Its engine can produce 421 Nm of torque and 290 horsepower of power. With the current model, a 1.6L turbo engine is also an option. According to rumours, this engine may be retired. Hyundai is now offering AWD for the Sonata for the first time ever, as was recently spotted.
