Tata Motors' design head Pratap Bose resigns

New Delhi : The man behind interesting designs of cars like Tata Nexon, Altroz and Tiago - Pratap Bose has resigned from the post of head of design at Tata Motors. An internal memo has been circulated in the company that reads, "Pratap Bose has decided to leave for better opportunities. He will proceed on leave for his remainder of (his) tenure."

Tata Motors has decided that his deputy and head of the company's UK Design Centre, Martin Uhlarik, will be replacing him on the post.

Pratap Bose has been recently awarded carandbike Automotive Person of the Year award. He is also believed to be the man behind transformation of Tata cars design in recent 3-4 years. Starting with the Tiago hatchback, then the Tigor and Hexa, his team's design work has propelled the brand in to contention once again.

In his 14-year-long career with Tata Motors he started with Tata Safari storme design and ironically his last design for the company is also Tata Safari 2021.

The reason behind his resignation is still not known but what we know is that he will continue to live in UK.
